Abstract: Dendritic cell is the most important antigenpresenting cell(APC) which induces various pathophysiological processes. It is reported that the dysfunction of dendritic cells(DCs) is related to oncogenesis. In gastric cancer, the reduction of DCs in amount and maturity will promote the progression and metastasis of tumors, and influence prognosis of patients. DCs can induce specific antitumor response after being cultured in vitro, stimulated with cytokines, and then loaded with tumor antigens. Nowadays, DCbased vaccines have showed good prospects in clinical application, and have the potential to provide a new method for comprehensive treatment of cancer patients.
