Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship among the different degrees of distress and quality of life scores in breast cancer patients after chemotherapy. Methods From March 2015 to March 2016, 60 breast cancer patients received 6 cycles of standard chemotherapy in our hospital were evaluated by distress thermometer (DT) and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast (FACT-B). Depending on whether the DT≥4, patients were divided into high and low groups. The scores of quality of life were compared between both groups. The correlation of distress and quality of life were analyzed. Results Sixty patients completed the questionnaire. The average FACT-B score was 124.3±11.2 in DT low group, while 89.5±15.6 in DT high group, and the difference between the two groups was significant (t=10.06, P<0.05). There was a negative correlation between the DT score and FACT-B score significantly (r=-0.949,P<0.05). Conclusion Patients with breast cancer present different degree of psychological distress after chemotherapy, and the distress scores is closely related to quality of life.
