Abstract: At present, more and more research indicates that Celltracks® AutoPrep® misses circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with atypicalepithelial characteristics, which have a stronger ability of invasion and metastasis than CTCs simply expressing epithelial characteristic and a higher value to judge efficacy and prognosis. This paper reviews the contrast between Celltracks® AutoPrep® system and ISET technology, and the effect of EpCAM expression, hybrid, EMT+tumor, circulating tumor stem cells and irreversible EMT+tumor cells on the detection rate of Celltracks® AutoPrep® system, as well as the feasibility of Celltracks® AutoPrep® system for detecting CTCs.
