Progress and Developmental Trend of Transparent Intumescent Amino Resin-Based Fire Retardant Coatings

Abstract: The physical and chemical properties and flame retardant properties of transparent intumescent amino resin-based fire retardant coatings have drawn much concern with the past decades. Recently the researchers have been gradually turning their focus into the fundamental reason to seek technical problems. This paper analyses the advantages of amino resin as the film-forming material of transparent intumescent fire retardant coatings, and reviews the research progress in transparent intumescent amino resin-based fire retardant coatings at home and abroad. Furthermore, this paper puts forward some existing problems of the fire retardant coating products and discusses the future research directions for the transparent intumescent amino resin-based fire retardant coatings.
