Abstract: A low temperature （120 ℃） curable GMA acrylic powder coating for plastic substrate is prepared from the modified GMA acrylic resins and di-carboxylic acid by mixing， extrusion， grinding and sieving. The powder coatings can be cured by IR to reduce the curing time. The auto bumper made of polypropylene is pretreated to increase the adhesion of the coating when the low temperature curable acrylic powder coatings are applied on it. The cured film has excellent appearance， adhesion and weatherability and shows lower emission of VOCs.
