【Abstract】 Objective:Tostudytheexpressionofcytotoxicmolecules(CM:TIA1,granzymeB)inperipheralTcelllymphomaunspecified(PTCLU)andtoinvestigatetheirsignificanceinPTCLUcategory.Methods:FromJanuary2005toJanuary2008,51patientswerediagnosedPTCLUintangshanpeopleshospitalandtangshanxiehehospital,whichwerestudiedfortheexpressionofthecytotoxicmolecules(TIA1,granzymeB)byimmunohistochemicalstaining.TherelationshipbetweenCMandKi67,clinicalcharateristics,treatmentresponseandprognosiswasanalysed.Results:Thirtythreepercent(17/51)waspositiveforatleast1CM,patientswhichCMpositivePTCLUweresignificantlyassosciatedwithhigherexpressionofKi67(882% vs.500%,P=00078),poorperformance(647% vs.324%,P=00279),morefrequentBsyndrome(706% vs.353%,P=00173),higherserumlactatedehydrogenase(LDH)level(824% vs.529%,P=00406).OverallsurvivalofCMpositivePTCLUwassignificantlylowerthanthatofCMnegativepatients(P=00015).MultivariateanalysisshowedCM,poorperformanceandhigherKi67wasanindependentprognosticfactorforPTCLU.Conclusion:ExpressionofCMinPTCLUwasnotonlyrelatedtopoorprognosis,butalsocouldplayanimportantroleinPTCLUcategorization.
